Union County 4-H Camp
June 17 – 21, 2019 (Monday - Friday)
UNION COUNTY 4-H MEMBERS (Traditional Members) YOU ARE INVITED!
You are invited to participate in Union County 4-H Camp. Camp is a great place to learn new skills, try new things, learn about getting along with others, get acquainted with great 4-H teen leaders who will be your Camp Counselors, and make friends with other 4-H'ers (about 250) from throughout Union County.
WHEN IS CAMP?
4-H Camp will begin on Monday afternoon, June 17, at 3:30 p.m. and end on Friday morning, June 21, at 10:30 a.m.
WHAT DO CAMPERS DO AT CAMP?
Our 4-H Camp offers a great variety of workshops to build skills and experience new things. Each camper will register for 6 workshops when signing up for camp. See the back side of the registration form for a list of workshop sessions, just some of the fun that awaits you at camp! In addition, we offer many traditional camp activities like swimming, nature hikes, campfire, and evening recreation like line dancing and mixers, games, tribe challenges, skits and talent shows, sports and games of all kinds, workshops, flag programs, vesper programs and some free time to spend with friends.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
The Health and Safety of each camper is important to us at camp. Activities are supervised by trained counselors and adult staff. Parents must provide the enclosed health statement (with picture of the camper) with registration. Physical or health concerns should be shared with the Camp Nurses who are on duty 24 hours a day. Campers are covered by a supplemental health policy while involved in camp programs. Serious injuries or illness will be handled through the Urgent Care or local hospital in Springfield, Ohio.
WHERE IS 4-H CAMP CLIFTON?
4-H Camp Clifton is located about 12 miles south of Springfield, between the small towns of Clifton and Yellow Springs. Campers live in one of 22 rustic cabins with 10 campers and 2 teen counselors. A central dining hall provides our meals. Other facilities include the Lodge, Swimming Pool, Canteen (camp store), Campfire Circle, Vespers Site, Basketball Court, Volleyball court, Sports Field, Archery Range, Tether Ball court, High Ropes Course, Restrooms/Showers, and Nurse’s Cabin. 4-H Camp Clifton is located at the edge of John Bryant State Park and the Clifton Gorge, giving us access to great hiking trails.
