The application submission deadline for the Union County Master Gardener Scholarship and the Richwood Bank 4-H Scholarship has been extended due to closings caused by the Stay at Home order regarding the Coronavirus.

The Richwood Bank 4-H Scholarship is to recognize the outstanding participation and contributions of 4-H members to their 4-H clubs and the Union County 4-H Program and to assist in their continuing development as capable, caring, contributing citizens. Scholarships will be awarded to a senior in each of the following schools: North Union, Marysville and Fairbanks/Jonathon Alder. (Three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded).

The Union County Master Gardener Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from a Union County high school or a graduate from a Union County high school or a resident from Union County.  The applicant must be pursuing a plant science degree at a college, university or technical school in 2020.  Plant science includes studies in areas such as agronomy, botany, horticulture, forestry or landscaping.

Applications for both scholarships are due by May 7, 2020, at the OSU Extension Office in the Union County Agricultural Center located at 18000 St. Route 4, Suite E., Marysville. All guidance counselors of Union County high schools and Career Centers that Union County students attend have been notified of the scholarship availability.  Home schooled students may also apply.
