The Grapevine
January, 2007
Hello Grapevine Readers!
Well, we certainly have had an interesting
winter so far. Until this week, we really have not had any winter weather.
Aside from a few frosty mornings, we have had high temperatures, many warm
nights, and a lot of rainfall, especially so far in January.
Many of you have noticed some very unusual
plant happenings for January. Bulbs are beginning to grow, buds are
swelling, grass is still green, butterfly bushes have new leaves, and many
more unusual things. Some of you have asked how this will affect the
plants in the “real” spring. I think we will have to wait and see what
happens, as we may well revert to real winter weather until spring.
Sincerely,
John Hixson
