The Grapevine
April, 2008
Hello Grapevine Readers!
Well, it has been great to see the sunshine
today, although when you read this it will likely be cloudy or raining again.
It seems like winter and cold, wet spring days have drug on forever.
I was out trying to finish pruning my fruit trees with my son over the
weekend. It appears that the bud development is 7-10 days behind many
years. It also appears that we need a lot of good drying days before we
can do any work in our wet soil.
So, for now, do what you can. It never pays to rush and work in the
soil until it is dry enough.
Sincerely,
John Hixson
