Ornamental
Grass
Ornamental grass has
shown up in the landscape over the last few years and have added a new dimension
to landscape esthetic. A recent report out of Minnesota reviews the cold
hardiness of these grasses. If ornamental grass can survive Minnesota winters
then Ohio will be no problem. Over 100 ornamental species have survived the
Minnesota winters and are grouped for standing water areas, shade, as screens
for erosion control, for hot and dry areas, alternatives to lawns, for fall
color and winter interest, for combination with annual and perennial flowers
and grasses for prairie restoration. There are over 65 color photographs
of different grasses with culture requirements reviewed. If you are
