PEOPLE AND PLANTS……..
A FREE EDUCATIONAL GARDENING EXPERIENCE FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY
Did you plant two dozen tomato plants in your new vegetable garden this spring?
Are you now wondering what you will do with all those tomatoes at harvest
time? Then Dianne May’s Garden talk on food preservation at People
& Plants should be on your schedule for Saturday, July 21.
People & Plants is a free educational gardening experience for the entire
family sponsored by the Union County Master Gardeners. It will be held
at the Union County Agricultural Center, 18000 U.S. Rt. 4 North from 10 a.m.
to 2 p.m.
There will be Garden Talks on Backyard Wildlife the Good, the Bad, the Ugly;
Native Plants; Insects in our Backyard and Canning, Freezing and Drying Fruits
and Vegetables. A wide variety of garden related topics will
be presented in displays and demonstrations.
Gardening games and activities in the Dirt Works for Kids area will keep
children occupied while the adults are discovering new gardening techniques.
