GO GREEN!
Written by Johanna Keiser, Master Gardener
The current trend is to “Go
Green”! We are all urged to work together to preserve and care for our environment.
You could do your part by having a vegetable garden in your backyard this
summer. Take advantage of the Union County Master Gardener’s Public Education
Sessions: “Grow Locally . . . Eat from your own Backyard”. This is a perfect
opportunity for beginning gardeners and also those who want a refresher course.
Your garden can be as small or as big as you like . . . vegetables can be
planted in your flower beds or containers as well as plowing up your backyard.
Plan an edible landscape as well as decorative.
