SANFORD RECEIVES FROG AWARD
Master Gardener, Linda Sanford, recently
received the honor of being the November recipient of the Leaping Frog
Award. This monthly award travels between Union County Master Gardeners
who exemplify a Master Gardener volunteer. Linda was chosen by October’s
award recipient Marsha Kiss, for her dedication and involvement on a variety
of projects to assist other Master Gardeners and the community.
“Linda gives us opportunities to try
old standbys and new varieties through her involvement with our plant trials,
“ states Master Gardener Intern Marsha Kiss. Linda is a pleasure
to listen to and learn from. She does a great job representing the
Master Gardener Program with her demonstrations and talks. The Union
County Master Gardener Leaping Frog will remain with Linda throughout the
holiday season. As part of the responsibility of receiving this award
Linda will be encouraged to have photos taken with the frog during its
stay. Then at the January meeting of the Master Gardeners, Linda
Sanford will present the frog award to another deserving member.
