The Extension Family and Consumer Sciences Program is an integral part of the College of Education and Human Ecology, drawing on the research and expertise of the Departments of Consumer Sciences, Human Development and Family Science, and Human Nutrition.

We encourage the development of families and individuals and foster their interaction with the environment. We generate knowledge through programs and research. This information comes to you through workshops, newsletters, publications, satellite, and computer programs. 

The Ohio State University Extension Family and Consumer Sciences programs and publications reach thousands of individuals across the state, addressing critical issues concerning individual, family, and communities.
